So- it's hard to be covert when you are knitting something for your husband - especially around Christmas. Last year I decided a hat would be the perfect thing. Easy to take on BART and I could work on it a little bit each day during my commute (read: hide it in my handbag!).
And when he was all smiles and put it on his head on Christmas morning- we realized that my choice of wool was not so smart. So- my friend Stephanie inherited a gorgeous hat (sigh) and B decided on socks. Now that it's March- I figured I ought to get cracking...
