Purple People Eater

This quilt is for my niece Jacey. And she's six, so she gets to say what color and she's decided on purple. These are the reject squares + some squares for Kylie's quilt (but aren't those pigs cute?!)

And this is where I landed.... given that Jacey is little now, I wanted the quilt to be youthful, but also wanted it to be able to grow with her. Uncle B (aka my husbando) was instrumental in reigning in the color choices (no yellow!) and limiting the pinks. But it's still girly, no?

These are some of my favorite squares. I like the way the golden flowers on the Japanese fabric  catch the light.
