Tea and comfort

DSC_0009
I’m wanting a little comfort today. Some days are just like that. It’s slightly cloudy and it took a while to find inspiration at the farmer’s market this morning. We were feeling a little glum as we went stall to stall – completely lacking in inspiration… and then I saw these cheerful little chamomile flowers and things just seemed brighter.

It's a day for being slow. For winding yarn, shelling peas and making jam. The fragrance from the blossoms is dreamy and made more special as it steeps in my Great Aunt Eufie’s vintage teapot – a treasured wedding gift. As I settle in to hull strawberries, sipping warm tea with honey, I am reminded - this is what weekends are for.
